And before you ask, no, there aren't people dressed up as the Vocaloids...
They're actually holograms/projections of the actual characters.

It's a japanese program to create voiced music, each voice having their own mascot, it got very popular, mostly in japan producing various doujin merchandise, and a really nice 3d animation program called miku miku dance, it also got two sega games on the PSP

Regarding "English Miku" project, we've already done a brief recording last week. Now we are checking the pronunciation etc. Those voices are very kawaii you should like them! I hope we'll show you a demo soon. But please understand it takes time. I'll keep you informedanything new for this project.
