I'd donate the money if I had it, the problem is just that if I throw, say, $100 into the pot and no one offers in the other $70 I'm out $100 for absolutely nothing.

Of course this whole thing could be avoided if every active member offered $5 but a lot of us are young and can't even give that much.

See, here's the thing. Like Jkid said above, most of us are youngins, and I dont think most of us even have the money or power to donate. I know most parents wouldnt donate to this site since it doesnt concern them.
