Not only was it obvious, the manga also had it written out. Heck, we even saw what happens before that.

Okay but how is Snowpiercer any better? That whole classroom scene was pretty much the same thing.

That said, it's interesting enough and characters are good, although it features almost every shounen trope. All that's missing is the MC fighting some kind of inner demon. The "Twist" is a nice change to the shounen forumla.
