Also, to you VIPs do you auotmatically become a VIP with 50 posts? Or do you have to talk to somebody?

1st question: Yes, there is a place where you can post REAL COMPLETE NONSENSE (to a point).
                       It's called the "Spam/Off-Topic" section. The posts there don't count toward your posts, though.
2nd Question:  Yes, you automatically become a VIP with 50 posts. You don't have to talk to anyone.
