No, I mean Shadow The Hedgehog. Omega is a support character (follows the character the player is using) on a few of the stages. I can't remember the level name, I think it was Iron Jungle though. For the Omega mission you had to blow up Eggman's hot air balloon.

And yes, he is annoying in sonic next gen (06) too.
