Won't be on for a while

My laptop's battery is broken so it doesn't charge i won't be on till I get my mom's old laptop.

why not no batt(plug)

my laptop needs the plug to charge the battery. And I don't think it'll work without the battery. Cause my laptop is like 6 years old. But my mom's old laptop is a few months old
