A nice tree in an approaching thunderstorm.

Thundercloud heading right for us.

Rainfall in a big lake

Stone wall formation on the Highway. This picture was taken by a friend in the back seat of my car while I was driving.

Sun setting in my own back garden. Satellite dish visible at the top left, and the power line supplying our house in the sunlight. I did a beautiful shot I reckon.

The September Dust Storm that hit Eastern Australia.

I'll put more of my best work up as I work on it.

On the same subject of trucks was this nice Western Star truck. American made, we have a lot of American trucks, Japanese trucks and European trucks over here so they all mix in.

Heavy traffic.

And finally, a burnt-out car spotted on a side street. It has since been towed away by a tow truck. Likely to be a joyrider.

Well, welcome to Australia. XD

Yeah we have all sorts of weird trees here, probably because of the dry heat here, the moisture evaporates so I think weird trees like that actually hold a lot of moisture. You probably hear about Australia gets a lot of bushfires, which is where a very hot day, some trees actually catch fire. That is because the heat dries out the tree, and they go up in flames from even a tiny spark because they are so dry. Even lightning can spark a major disaster with trees and dry plants here. ie, this pic here was of a tree a year after it got struck by lightning (I remember it well):

The lightning bolt had struck the top part of the tree where the picture had started, and travelled down it, and the intense heat and lack of moisture started this tree fire.

Holy shit, that caused quite much damage to it...and it's still standing!

And despite a lightning strike pretty much burned it, it's still alive. Trees here seem to have adapted to fire, if they get partially burnt like that tree, they are still alive as you can see it has part of the bark growing over.

You know that kinda happened to a tree over here, once... I live in a forest so its common for that to happen.

And I love the rain in the lake picture, thats really awesome!

It's not completed yet I need to get an auto electrician because it needs to be officially installed by one otherwise my insurance is either void or I'd have to pay a lot extra.

I can't wait until it gets done

But I have it booked for 21st December to be installed, and those LED lights are used in cars, they can be as dashboard indicators. They will be used for my beacons and spotlights. They will be installed beside the switch. The green LED lights up when you can turn the spotlights and beacons on, while the yellow LED means the beacons are switched on and the red LED means the spotlights are on, that way I know if they are switched on or off from the inside. Very handy in broad daylight.
