Here's why:
Blaze's relationship to Silver seems to be more of a brotherly/sisterly type of relationship. A lot of people don't understand that kind of friendship that a guy and a girl can have. Not all guy/girl relationships are always the boyfriend and girlfriend types, and I don't think it's right or fair to automatically say that all guy/girl friendships have to turn into love relationships. Silver looks up to Blaze like an older sister. I think Blaze admires him, and looks after him like a younger brother. They make a great team, but I don't see why they can't just be friends. I have a lot of guy friends, some of which I'm really close to. One I even call my brother. I also have a boyfriend. I don't see why just because they're close friends it automatically means they're in love with each other, or have to be.
Here's the other reason why...because they're both newer characters. We bring Blaze into the fold, who in my opinion was a love interest for the guy characters who already existed. Now suddenly because they're working together people assume they should just throw them together. Sorry, but no.
Also...the plot in Sonic '06 virtually erased itself from history. So since the events of Sonic '06 are erased from existence, Silver and Blaze never met. I don't think the events are considered canonized either, I go by the more "Rush" version of Blaze who has no idea who Silver even is.

I am a proud Sonilaze fan. I think Sonic is a better love candidate for Blaze.

As for Silver...well...I'm not really sure. Maybe Amy...but I like Amy with Shadow too.

Maybe we do pull the trigger a bit too quickly, but it is, nevertheless, a possibility. But you do bring up a good point in the fact that they never really met, but if the situation should call for it again, they would probably still be a good team. No, not all guy/girl relationships end in love. But long-distance relationships are EXTREMELY stressful and difficult. (I don't thing you can get any farther away than a different dimmension) While Silver, being a time-traveler, would have more of a chance to meet up with Blaze again. He is a little naive, I'll admit, but he does have some qualities to him that would make him a good match-up for Blaze, given time.

And Shadamy? No. Shadow finds Amy the same way he does everyone else. The only ones he considers different are: Omega, as a friend. Maria, as his sister. And Rouge, as friend and ally. There may even be a spark between those two. In Sonic 06, Rouge tells Shadow that no matter what happens, she'll always be on his side. I think that if Shadow wwas fighting with Sonic, or someone else, Amy would try to bash Shadow's head off. And again, you'd say that Sonic 06 never happened. Well, in Sonic Battle, Shadow is seen weakened from...who knows what? I forget. Anyways, Rouge takes him in. But in his story, there is a dream sequence where Shadow's memories come back to haunt him, and Maria is connected. But before he wakes up, one last scene shows an image of Rouge, and the dream describes her as his ally. Then before he takes off later on, he notices Rouge's concern for him, he smiles and whispers to himself: "Hmmph, ally." So there's something to think about.

We don't know that Shadow and Amy wouldn't give each other the time of day, and Rouge is too slutty to be committed to anyone. I just think if Shadow and Amy gave each other a chance, they'd work well together.
Amy would probably remind Shadow of his dear lost Maria, and maybe a connection would go from there.
I think once again, Shadow and Rouge would be friends.

But this is a little off topic..

As for SilverBlaze, I kind of made my point in the SonAmy thread so it might sound a little redundant...but yes I do think the whole SilverBlaze thing was just thrown together because they're both new characters, and I don't like that they just pair new characters together when there's a possibility for Blaze to be with the older characters. Same with Silver, although I like Blaze way more. Also, I get tired of the Blaze being associated with Silver all the time and it kind of makes me not want to like Silver. They were only working together in ONE game. Blaze has worked with Sonic for at least two games, and has starred in several other Sonic games as a side character. Although I'm a SonBlaze fan, that doesn't mean I need to see Sonic with Blaze every second.
As for the long distance relationship thing, all it takes is a good plot to remedy that situation. Besides, Sonic can do Chaos Control, and Blaze is the type of person who I think would get a great deal of enjoyment travelling around on Sonic's adventure's.

And of course, I stand by my firm opinion that Blaze and Silver are like a brother and sister relationship, and considering I have a best friend who is like a brother to me, I don't see why it can't happen in a fantasy situation if it can happen in real life. Do I deny that they make a great team? No. They work great together. That doesn't mean they're meant to be in a romance situation. Blaze likes that he's naive sure, she cares about him. But she didn't say she was in love with him or anything either. I also don't deny that Silver has good qualities about him, but I don't think those qualities are ideal for a love relationship so much as a friendship.
