Exactly. And the answer to that question...is one. And the plotline pretty much canceled itself out, had a lot of plotholes, and far as I'm concerned Blaze is from another dimension, not the future, and has no idea who Silver is.
The best explanation in my opinion, was that Sonic '06 was at best...an alternate reality.
