Roleplay Forum? Good Idea? No?

I'm in serious mode here.  :3

Long story:  short(kinda rofl);
Gleech and I were talking about how there aren't any decent RP's here (we mean like with plot, semi-literate, at best, something like Sonic's Vacation, which died out fast, sadly, that looked like it had potential, and Sonic Future Force, and Death Egg Rising, and those of the like).
And I was like "why not make a separate RP forum?"

Yes, that would defeat the purpose of the RP section here, but not really, in a way.

Then, a few minutes ago, talking to Jkid (explaining the above), I was like
"I can use a website to be like a portal page, and then have links to different types of RP, like beginner/script-type (like we do here on MSN), semi-literate/semi-advanced, advanced, then have that go to another page with different sub cats, like " (Enter fandom/series here), Original Story, Random, etc."  I think it'd make finding the style of RP and the kind you like to do much easier.  Cause there are some RPs that seem like they'd be interesting, but then there's no real plot, or the plot fades away, or it turns into a random party."




Good idea or no?
Do you think it'd kick off?

But I agree greatly. No offense intended, but most RPs here are crap. I would happily join, moderate, skin, code, etc
I need a good RP. I haven't had one in so long, it was sad when I joined here the RP section was like a rubbish dump. I have a few ideas, although you probably thought of them. A character bio section, A section dedicated to RP battles (Battling who is the best RP'er) Private roleplaying, etc
It could be the first popular Sonic forum reliant on the RP community.

If you need any ideas, I know an old Teen Titan's Roleplaying site my oldest sister use to be an admin of, sadly it died out due to a fight over the ability to have a homosexual character being created. Someone wanted it and Jeannette (My sister) and her boyfriend were against it. Eventually they quit the site, and the whole site collapsed after that...

I used to roleplay on SSMB (Before they removed that section)
And Sonic Blast. They had great, full length roleplays where you could really express your character and yourself.

Sounds a bit pointless for what is essentially just playing pretend. Sure, RPs can be fun and engaging if done right and it would be nice to cut down on the riffraff that can't spell, but must you go to these extremes? Menues for finding different types of RPs along with sub categories? An entirely new site dedicated just to roleplaying? I know some people do it, but overkill much?
