I still see it as a waste of money. Take this, for example:

The day before yesterday, I was at an anime convention. I had $10 set aside to pay for food and a drink, however, I saw that as wasting the money. Why waste that cash on food when I could get another figure? Long story short, over 2 days, I spent $2.75 on food and over $100 on figures and DVDs, etc.

Why spend that money on something that will only be there until you're finished with it when you could get something that's permanent?

Okay, how about this. Weed is illegal. Despite any moral stance on the issue, weed is illegal to buy, sell, or use outside of medicinal purposes, and even then it is monitored. A figure might just sit there, but it looks cool and it isn't illegal. And what is weed going to do to "aid" you or get anything done?
