I never really liked the sports genre. Only ever played sports games because:

A.) They involved Mario in some way, shape or form.
B.) They involved Sonic in some way, shape or form.
C.) Had a nice selection of "create a" features.
D.) Was also a fighter (boxing, wrestling (i'll admit, I was obsessed with WWE for many of the earlier years in my life. x3) , etc...)
E.) Had a good soundtrack.

OK, maybe not so much that last one, but I'd be damned if I didn't admit a lot of my favorite songs were ones I heard on my bro's sports games. >.<
