They don't fit together. They lifes both in another world. Sonic is made to be fast, and mario is made to be just like a human that can shoot fire when he find a flower.

Sonic got his own powers and mario gets his power from the items he find.

Then you can say "I've beat sonic with mario in brawl" Everyone knows that they made sonic slower in this game so they will hold it fair. They do that with all characters btw some stronger and others weaker. (and I understand it, sonic's speed is fast ennough for this game, little faster than the others but not too fast.)
And mario & sonic at the olympic games is a better view, oh my gosh I never saw that slowly sonic speed before! << That's just why they doesn't fit in a game like that, maybe a sonic in mario world or mario in sonic world is a better adventure, still not sure about that.
Anyway they aren't characters to say he's stronger. Topics like those can better be changed into the title ''who do you like more''. Because there is it all about. Some people likes mario more, does it matter if he's weaker? Ofcourse not. It's another world, another game. I love the mario games too but sonic just more. My choice. And if others likes mario more I dont care.

If im going to take a part in this im judging by game performance, Not by character. In which case mario wins by a landslide, sonic has poured out pathetic games since 2005. Remember SATSR? Or ShTH? Or 06? Compare that to SMG, NSMB and etc..

I have to agree on that, with the epic transformations and awesome stories, Mario has no match for that because saving a princess since the 80's is really old and repetitive now...

Those are the words that only come from an idiot or someone who has never truly played a modern mario game.

And since you aint an idiot- 1+1=2
