The ESRB is extremely biased. There are no rules for how they decide on a rating, just the guidelines of the content descriptors (suggestive themes, cartoon violence, etc). And the ESRB will rate a game M just because it looks like they should or think they should. Also, public opinion GREATLY influences their decisions. If a game should be rated T, but stupid adults think it should be M, even if it shouldn't be, they WILL change the rating to M.
