I decided to stop borrowing the Dashers' characters, and decided to come up with my very own original FC! Introducing, drawn by my good friend RaianOnzika...Houdini the Sugar Glider!



Houdini the Sugar Glider

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Strengths and abilities: Agility, ability to see in the dark, master escape artist, gliding

Weaknesses: Sensitivity to cold, lack of physical strength

Both: Sensitive hearing allows him to sense danger, but can also be exploited if it gets too loud for him to handle

Personality: A very caring guy who won't hesitate to help his friends if he can. He's also waiting for just the right girl to come along and make his life complete. He always makes sure to eat breakfast so he can keep himself going. He's got a bit of an Australian accent, but he tries his best to keep it in check.

Backstory: Born down under in Australia, Houdini, (his real name being Yukon) the Sugar Glider grew up in a home with his two parents who were sent to Australia to study how to better purify water for the suffering natives. His nickname of "Houdini" was born not long after he was, when he was about two years old his parents bought him a playpen to keep the energetic glider in check, but every time his mother or father would put him in, he would somehow escape and run back to his parents.

And after the fifth time of putting him back in and trying to further secure his son, his father joked that he and his mother should've named him "Houdini" instead.

After the sixth escape, the name would stick. As Houdini grew older, he found himself loving to go outside and climb trees and see what he could see, his parents were amazed that their son seemed to have agility that surpassed normal gliders and they wanted to find a way to keep that going.

But what his parents never found out until he was 16, was that Houdini was secretly training for Karate via videophone. They found out one night when Houdini was doing his night training with Master Mitch, a friendly USA dwelling human who he found while browsing the internet.

Master Mitch received an e-mail from Houdini, and loved that Houdini wanted to learn even while all the way on the other side of the world. So Master Mitch looked up the number of his parents, and he found Houdini would answer the phone, and their lessons began from there.

The night he was caught was when Houdini was training with Master Mitch to finally get his black belt after three years of training. When Master Mitch told him to show him the techniques, Houdini got too excited and started giving out battle cries with every move.

When his parents came to see the commotion, they peeked in to see Houdini training with the human, and were shocked at what they were watching. It wasn't until after Master Mitch declared Houdini a black belt that his parents revealed that they knew about it.

But instead of anger, they were somewhat proud of their son for finding something good to train at. When Houdini turned 18, he told his parents he wanted to travel to the USA, and try to start a life of his own.

Although not wanting to part with their son, his parents allowed Houdini to go on his own, and now Houdini goes around his new hometown, protecting it from local crooks, but he's now waiting for a bigger challenge.

Gliders are native to Australia and Brazil. So yeah.
