They just don't know how to take "no" for an answer.

So my friend tried to ask me out earlier this week, and I had to turn him down because:
1)  Jumping into a relationship right after breaking up (like...3 weeks ago) is just awkward.  I don't want to put anyone in the position of "oh, I'm dating this chick, but she still has feelings for her ex, wtf."

A woman's mental process is complex.  Alot of guys just expect a girl to be over it (she might act like it, but she's not) and BAM, everything's good.  No.  lol

2)  Said breakup only lasted about 1 or 2 weeks.  About a week ago, my "ex" (we are now dating again lol) and I had been talking about trying to do long distance.  He just broke down on me over a chat on facebook, lmao.  So, we're trying the long distance thing.

This kid, he's my friend.  I really like him, I do.
Had I not been in said predicament, I probably would have said yes.

But I explained this, and the first day after, he completely ignored me.  Then he started talking to me again (only because one of my really really good girlfriends, and a mutual friend of ours told him that she would not accept him being a douchebag to me).  But only really at school, lol.  It was all normal smiles, jokes and shit at school, but he would just randomly send me frown faces outside of school.  @_@  And not reply to anything I say on FB (again with the 8l faces) properly.

Then today, I get a text.

Him:  I was told I should smack you.  I agree.
Me:  Wat.
Him:  A friend said I should smack you.
Me:  Why?  D8
Him:  I wonder.  8l

Me:  But I dun need to be smacked.  B(
Him:  Mhm...I disagree.
Me:  You shouldn't hit a girl.  B(
Him:  8l I said I agreed with him.  Doesn't mean I would.
Me:  Still.  :c
Him:  Sometimes people need to be hit.  Men, women, children.

If it wasn't obvious, I wasn't trying to be serious.
I still haven't replied to that last text, and that was 3 hours ago.
I...honestly don't know what to say...

You think you know people...
