Eh, Shigeru Miyamoto is a runner up for sure but I don't think he wants to do it. From what I've been reading Genyo Takeda might be stepping up to the plate. Since he made Punch-Out!! maybe we'll get a Punch-Out U or 3DS? Maybe? Please?

As for Nintendo's direction...? I don't know. So long as they don't pull a SEGA we'll all be fine.
