That's called bumping, which is one of the most looked down upon things on the forum. I like your positive intentions though.

1). Bumping is not against the rules.
2). Spamming to get + status isn't exactly positive intentions but I'm sure we can all relate to it.

I wish it were out of the rules, but it's just hated by people.

I got my karma lowered by 3 because of it. Do you think there should be some kind of rule regarding it?

Just glanced at the new rule topic, I don't see anything like the sort. Could of sworn it existed before.
Well maybe not totally outruling it but at least making it discouraged.

There should be a rule. When I posted on those old topics, it gave me a warning that those were months old. What's the point of having a warning if there's no rule regarding the issue?
