So, after the wedding, but before New Year's Eve, my cousin and I decided to watch current anime. This was because we were having a conversation about how anime these days are shit.
So we fired up Hulu Plus, I gave my recommendation of a good anime, then he gave his, then from there we watched random anime that appeared in "Recommended for You". So we watched:
The Future Diary->Freezing->BTOOM!->The Devil is a Part Timer->The Legend of the Legendary Heroes->Kaze no Stigma-> Magi:The Kingdom of Magic->Clannad in that order
The only ones we watched all the way through are TheFuture Diary and BTOOM! The others, we watched "enough" for it to grab our interests, but something came up and had to bail, so when we regained access to the TV we watched something else.

So after that "experience" we've come to what should've been an obvious realisation...
It's not that new anime are bad... We just weren't looking hard enough =U

Also from this, I finally figured out what I truly want from an anime. it's not a romance, or a world with no tsunderes, or some cute girly love interest(although those would be nice), ultimately, I just want an anime with a decisive main protagonist...

By that I mean, I would like the main protagonist, whether it's male or female, to have a mind of his/her own, and to know what he/she wants, y'know, some sort of a clear goal. Not some sort of blank sponge who's mind and opinions seems to keep changing everytime he/she talks to someone, or those brick walls who just take in everyone and barely responds to anything around them.
OR ELSE!
Compliments to our Goddess for this piece of superspecialawesome!
