Movie tie-in game?

More of a... canon crossover.
I'll be honest, not a fan of the idea.

The games were superior in terms of everything.

Hakudamashi

I don't like the sound of this at all...
I guess I'll just wait and see...

Ehh, this aint developed by High Moon either - instead 'Edge of Reality' who you might know as the developer of 'Loadout'...

ehhhh...

Meanwhile the '3DS' Version is developed by WayForward and will be a strategy RPG.

TheGameNinja

so are the movies the main canon now? I thought Prime was supposed to be. I know that's ended but even that MMO has the same models as Prime.

QuoteHasbro's only real input on what constitutes canon in Transformers comes from the Transformers Universe franchise, which grew out of the BotCon merchandise and fiction produced by 3H Productions, and has continued with Fun Publications' fan club and Timelines comics. These stories present the idea that each Transformers continuity exists in its own separate universe, with Primus and Unicron as entities which straddle (or easily travel between) these universes. This approach is essentially a tacit endorsement of the model that the Transformers fandom had already started working under:
Everything is canon.
In Transformers, "canon" is for all intents and purposes a synonym for "official". If it was released by a Transformers licensor with Hasbro approval, then it is canonical. However, simply being canonical doesn't say anything about what continuity or continuities it applies to.

Yeah, you know... Not liking the idea of that new game. At all.

Someone explain this fuzzle to me.
'Cause if the Universes are one... ehhh...
I mean, I could not tell any plotholes like, out of my mind... but ehhh...

If it's about Universes literally colliding... the f*ck?!
Unless... Unicron creates some limbo or some shit, if he can travel between universes.

Hakudamashi

Sooo, it's like the whole multiverse fuzzle in the Archie Sonic comics?

Wait, how are they even on Cybertron.

They left Cybertron at the end of Fall of Cybertron (being ported into nothingness) and the Cybertron in the Bay Movies got destroyed at the end of Transformers 3.

Okay, today they 'officially' announced the game...

This is an Anniversary game, since it's the 30th Anniversary of Transformers, thus there will be over 40 Playable bots from the 'Cybertron' Universe and the 'Micheal Bay' Universe.

Not only that, but it will serve as quote-on-quote follow-up to both 'Transformers: Fall of Cybertron' AND 'Transformers 4: Age of Extinction'.

Quote from: Press Release[...] This third-person action adventure video game goes beyond the movie by uniting the universe of director Michael Bay's Transformers movies with the ever-popular Cybertron universe. [...] "Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is an arc between the Cybertron and Earth based worlds of this popular franchise," remarked Mark Blecher, SVP Digital Gaming & Corporate Development at Hasbro, Inc. "This year marks 30 incredible years of Transformers. This game tells another chapter in the Transformers story that all fans will love." [...] Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark jumps worlds and factions as it weaves the tale of the hunt for an ancient relic as powerful as the Matrix of Leadership – the Dark Spark. Players will be able to switch between the heroes of the noble Autobots and the nefarious Decepticons throughout the single-player campaign. Similar to High Moon Studios' Cybertron entries in the highly regarded series, gameplay features nimble, fast-paced running-and-gunning combat paired with traversal and vehicle action across open battlefields for large-scale, dynamic conflicts. [...] Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark will be releasing on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, Sony's PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Nintendo's Wii U system and the Nintendo 3DS™ handheld system and Windows PC.

Okay, so...

> 30th Anniversary Game
> Plays like Fall of Cybertron
> Still two different Universes that somehow will unite
> Serves as sequel to both Age of Extinction and Fall of Cybertron

Okay, so... This whole Crossover thing has been explained. There will be two campaigns: One will fill the one week gap between the ending of War for Cybertron and the beginning of Fall of Cybertron, the other will start someplace during Age of Extinction and end after Age of Extinction.

Escalation will now have Bosses and they've also added "Hacks" - which are basically the "Skulls" from Halo.
Both Movieverse, as well as Cyberverse and a few G1 Characters will be playable in Escalation.

There no information yet wether PVP will return
