I give sonic this much, Sonic 1 was a classic and i still play it even today.
Some of the newer ones are just asinine, Sonic Riders was pretty much Sonic R with boards.

but thats not true look at Sonic Unleashed Sonic Heroes
Sonic Advance 1 2 and 3 Sonic Rush 1 and 2 Sonic Rivals 2
Mario & Sonic 1 and soon to be 2(it has sonic in the title so its classifed as a sonic game)
Sonic And The Secret Rings(that game got high scores) ect. so saying sonic
has no good new games is complete and TOTAL BS.

Sega was motivated to make better Sonic games after Sonic 1 because the fans love it so they made Sonic 2 more cooler than it then the process goes on and on and on...
