...The Tharja trophy has been removed from all versions of Smash Brothers for 3DS.

No one even knows why. In a game where crotch bulges, erect nipples and skimpy clothing are prominent on some characters, it makes no sense that a woman in thin clothing needed to be cut. Many people that argue that Tharja had been censored before by Nintendo of America, but that was solely to cover up her ass when she was wearing a bathing suit.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that Lucina actually has a Tharja alt costume complete with the skin tight cloth. If that were the reason would they also not need to remove the alternate costume?

Anyway why do you guys think the trophy was removed? Personally, if Samus can wear a bodysuit and Falcon can have a crotch bulge I see no reason Tharja needed to be removed.

Every installment of the series up to this point has been T rated. This one is E10+. Even if they wanted the E10+ rating that badly it isn't time consuming or difficult to darken a texture and cover up the cleavage.

They could have just used her Awakening model. That's why there are so many Uprising enemies and trophies, after all.
