Depends
But I really,really,really don't care.

Why are you defending something you don't even care about?

History matters
History matters a lot.

That doesn't answer my question.

If answering your inquiry about the "why nots" is defending to you.

But quite frankly, I view having multiple races as just a literary tool.
And just like every other tool, it has it's time and place and shouldn't have to be used all the time.

Is a black dude living in the US not considered American?
Technically, living in America and being American are two different things.
You can be a Jamaican living in America, and you can be an American living in Barbados.

How often is someone's race a defining characteristic of their character? Why can't a black bachelorette be in the game "just because"? Why does an all-white cast get a free pass but a multiethnic cast need a good storyline reason to exist?

If you are an American citizen, you are American. If you are a black dude living in a town, we can assume you're a local and therefore it wouldn't be weird for there to be a black fucking bachelorette.

I can't believe you're seriously arguing for there to not be racial diversity among the bachelorettes on the grounds that it's not "natural" in a fucking videogame.

It's really funny how Jkid's "pick a harvest moon bride" thread became a political discution about racial diversity in video games.

'Cept it doesn't
Case in point Futurama or Amazing World of Gumball.

It's like you're arguing with someone that doesn't give a fuck or something.

So then why are you acting like multiethnic bachelorettes in Harvest Moon wouldn't make sense?

Then I guess we're done here.
