Has anyone ever used game maker 7 to create games ( most likely sonic )?

if u need any help by me just ask, im making a remake of sonic the hedgehog 2006 for a side screen version game. ( oh btw someone made a remake of sonic unleashed for a side screen version game so check it out, it looks like little time was put on it though.).
