Title: HELP WANTED - professional YouTube Channel about Games (Reviews,Gameplay)
Post by: shadowDOESrock on April 25, 2010, 12:25:06 PM
http://www.youtube.com/user/VideoGamesReborn (http://www.youtube.com/user/VideoGamesReborn)
(marvel vs. capcom 3 trailer there 8D, and subscribe >:U)

Epic Looking Channel, right? o3o

I want to open a channel (later a site) on youtube about Games.

Reviews
Shows
Gameplay w/Commentary etc.

But i cant do that alone, and i am quite serious with this. >:U

I need people that do a show about/with games.
I need people to review and post gameplay on the plattforms, etc.

So who wants to be on VGR?

BUT, you have to be able to record Games. On atleast PC (FRAPS 3.0.3 is downloadable here), and atleast on one plattform. (with Dazzle or sumthing) in HD. (unless its DS/PSP, Retro, Xbox, PS2, DC, etc)
You HAVE to be active. (at least one gameplay video per week, and one review when beeing a reviewer per month...or 2months).
And you need to be over 14(13 - Only Gameplay) and have a mic.

We will start in summer.

Gameplay & Reviews below.

PS3

Xbox360
DarkKyoushu

Wii
DarkKyoushu

PC

DarkKyoushu

PS2

Dreamcast

Retro

I'd love to help. In fact, I've been wanting to give reviewing a try. Unfortunately, I don't have Dazzle or anything, so I can't record console games and my laptop won't play many PC games. If I can get a Dazzle, I'd love to try.

If I could make remotejoy working (PSP recorder), I would happily review psp games but the problem is... I can't make them hd.

I can do PS2 games if its still not taken. I have a whole STACK of them in my game 'closet'. I've always wanted to do reviews or gameplay of some games.

I have a question, whats "OnLive"...?

And if you need to, I can do some PC games. (I know thats not on the list)

Don't add me yet, just add me when I finally get remotejoy working.
If I do get it working, I have tons of PSP games to review, I have 26 GB games in my computer and I could download any PSP game if some users take request.  ;D

I could do DS/GB gameplay/reviews.  Maybe PS1, if I can get a recorder to work on my laptop (the one on my desktop is working, but my desktop can't run PS1 games @-@)
By then, I should defo have a pc controller, cause right now using the keyboard to play PS1 games is a bitch.  Hell, even with some DS/GB games, it's difficult.  @-@

If worse comes to worse, I can help with shows.

Do you play them ON the PSP or on a PSP emulator?
I heard there was a way to play downloaded games on the PSP but I don't want to try something that involves hacking and end up messing up my PSP like I did my Wii (which I DID get fixed, but still  >.<)

Oh, yeah. I could do GameBoy/Color/Advance game reviews, I guess. I can record those.

I could review some older PC games or ones with lower system requirements. If I can figure out how to record them.

I was actually thinking of doing anime and movie reviews as well. I can rip DVDs fairly easily.

I've also got editing experience, so if you need it, I can help with that.

And.. we can't join anyway.

There also a 'Micro Console'

The Game will be all hosted in the Internet. No Downloads. 5mbit connection for HD gamming....think.

I play on the PSP, remotejoy allows you to record the psp on the computer so its great.

About hacking the psp, it's safe and easy, thats how I play my downloaded games. Around here in my country, you'll rarely see a psp owner without a hacked psp, we treat them like noobs. xD.

I may be able to help under conditions.

me:

I may not be constantly active.
I can do wii,GC,DC,PS1,DS,(ps2?),GBA,whatever, but it may not contain sound (emulators+fraps D=) and therefore gameplay videos might just have music.  /:    but review videos this should not be a problem.
I CAN do PC games without or with commentary, at the highest or nearly highest GFX settings.
I cant do full HD due to the size of my monitor, i can record at 1366x768 and render videos at 720p.

I'll think about it, and... Dont be so sure i can use my voice D= (maybe)

I am also assuming the idea is to upload the video to my channel, then link to yours?

I am 16.

Here's a video me playing Tekken 6 testing remote joy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82sX0mUQIow (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82sX0mUQIow)

The framerate is GREAT! Also to be honest, there is a higher quality of the video but its too large (420+ Mb) and it'll take to long to upload so I lowered the quality and I don't like it.

Wait, are ALL the consoles emulated? HDReady is fine too. (720p)

I'll add you in PC at the moment.

As i said bevor, Sound is one of the most important things in a game. I usually skip videos that change normal sound with music.  (unless its an MV)

Post Merge: April 28, 2010, 06:28:22 AM

About Uploading....

they'll be all uploaded on VGR (Goo95 is still my private channel)

Also, you need Adobe Premiere Pro (CS3 or better).

Because The Logo, Intro, etc. are all preset for VGR.

in PC games i can definitely do sound.
an no, PS3 and Xbox 360 arent. nor XBOX.

i can emulate older consoles up to about DC fine, but the rest will be a little tougher.

EDIT:oh, i see,  err i havent got that program and dont know how to use it. and i would prefer to upload to my own account....
er...

I had an idea. I've seen where a group of people get together over Skype and all do a Let's Play of one game. One person plays it while everyone else watches, talks about the game, and discuss how to progress in the game. It ususally works best for adventure games like Sam & Max or something. Think we could do anything like that?

Also, it would be okay for us to upload this stuff to our own channels, too, right?

Oh, another idea. There might be people who can capture video, but don't want to review. And there might be people who want to review who can't capture video. I'm sure there's a way we could get people working together when things like that pop up. :3

Okay, so, good news: a place nearby sells HD Dazzles. The bad news: they're $80. It's not like I can't get the cash, but I do have other expenses. I will almost certainly end up getting one, but I don't know how soon I'll have it. I'll be able to get it by the end of the year, at the latest. I might be able to get it by the end of May, but there are some personal things that will have to line up juuuust right in order for that to happen. Like I said, end of the year at the absolute latest, but I'm certain I'll be able to get it sooner.

Anyway, that won't effect my ability to record GB/GBC/GBA games. I can still get DVD footage as well. I've got a... decent video camera, too. I don't know if I posted that yet. :3

Also, that Fraps download doesn't work anymore. :U

It's so weird, HD and "Plus" Dazzles go for $90 down here (the same price)...I got a Dazzle DVC 100 for about $90.00 and wished they carried the "Platinum ones" (aka HD). The only thing weird was that online, the DVC 100's got better reviews than the DVC 107's, which is odd because the DVC 100's < DVC 107's when it comes to quality and options in settings.

*cough* My test with SA2B (and DVC 100)...I used Sonic Vegas 9 to crop the aspect ratio to 16:9 instead of 4:3.
(I do commentaries..but I did this one w/o commentary)

a) I dont have a screen recorder....and i doubt it still would be HD or HDReady.
b) It kinda kills the point if the same content is aviable on another channel. VGR is an 'public' account for all the ones working on it. I still use my old channel for private stuff. Get what i mean?

Fraps 3.2.2 is in the SVIP Downloads Section, Software & Operating Systems.

Also, who wants to make the first Video Commentary this Weekend?

Game: Turok (2008)
