Fox overexaggerates to where I got pissed off just now

So I was overhearing the news tonight and there came an article about this boy who dresses up as a girl. Okay, simple. They show footage of the kid playing dressup. Okay. Pushing it a bit as to the kid's privacy. Then came the interviewing. The teacher freely excepts it and says that the kid should/will have the freedom to be a tomgirl/transvermite/lesbian. I was heartwarmed at it because a teacher understands what a kid goes through..

Then came the father. He didn't like his actions at all. He doesn't want kids around the age of 7-13 being transgender. He gave his reasons and it FUCKING SICKENED ME. I couldn't even watch most of it because the father is the kind that wants to be king of his son's life. I know it's his job to make sure the kid doesn't do crack or anything but really? Let the child be who/what he wants. Let a boy date him, he will be happy and you should be glad and supportive. He's slowly killing the kid's heart and spirit and when he looks back at it about 20 years from now, he wouldn't see his father as someone he'd talk about freely.

Anywho, I feel great about the kid's spirit and courage to come out of the closet and say "Hey world, I'm a homosexual and I'm proud to say it" ("and" meter again) but Fox, leave the kid alone. The whole world doesn't need to know. He should be free of any pressure from the assholes from my typical day elementry. Pretty soon the kids will be like "HAHA, YOURE GAY" and maybe some "Holy mackrel dude, you were on TV!" but the kids shouldn't even be up this late anyway. xD.

If the transgender fad didn't pop, I might of posted anyways cause this was messed up. (The dad and negativity) but I do want your honest opinion. I gave mine, and I want yours. Especially from you-know-who-you-are.

For parents to be like that is just horrible and hypocritical. Taking away someone's freedom or forcing them to be someone else, it's just not right, and I'm pretty sure the parents would have loved to have their own way too.

And who cares if a kid crossdresses or is gay or transgender? That's what they want to do then let them do it.

Then again, I don't see how all of this ties together.

How do they know the boy is a transgender? Maybe he just likes to play dress up in girl clothes. And "what a kid goes through"? Umm, the kid will get a few "dude looks like a lady" jokes I guess. If his parents taught him well, he'll be confident enough not to give a shit about what anyone else things.

Wait, first it was an invasion of privacy and now it's the kid himself coming out? Wait, now you're saying the world doesn't need to know?

I think you're blowing this out of proportion. I've said this before, doing girly things doesn't make you transgender. Fuck, I remember playing with Barbie dolls with my sister when I was a kid. Guess I'd better get a sex change, huh?

Anyway, it's a nice heartwarming story to use as filler on a slow news day.

The news called him a lesbian, I based everything(excluding my opinions) from what the news said. According to them, he's also been thinking of sexchanging for 2 years. All the kids from the schools in my town are those who judge you by sexual beliefs, if you're straight/gay, how rich you are, and how fat you are. There's nothing wrong with him. He isn't fat and he isn't poor. His sexual belief though is what will torture..for example: my best friend and I have to hide us being bisexual. One slip of that and the whole school knows. The teachers wouldn't really do anything until it got really out of hand, which it is rare to get teachers involved to HELP the situation. Hell, I've even seen the teachers talk about the rumors to fellow teachers. But enough about that..

I was a young child, possibly younger than the kid in this article. At that point in your life nothing is certain. Depending on how old the kid in the news article is, it could just be a phase.
