Well before I read Samus's trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee I had always thought Samus was a guy,well I guess things arn't always what it seems.

i was also shocked, it seemed so unlikely that Samus was a girl,
i think that they just made that just so people would be suprised

i found out a long time ago but didnt think anything of it at the time. i was playing metroid fusion for the gba and i got killed.  her suit blew up showing what was inside, which is how i found out samus was a girl.
......blah..... thats me in a nutshell!

Well, Samus being a girl took me forever to figure out.
It's kinda sad, but I don't play many Metroid games so In ssbb Zero Suit Samus was the first time I found out she was a girl o.-zomg

I've known Samus was a girl for about 20 years now. I use to have a Nintendo comic book that had a Captain N comic in it. Unlike the show, Samus was one of the main characters in the comic. And in a lot of it, she had her helmet off. That's how I knew.

I never even played a Metroid game until years later. So it wasn't really a surprise for me.
