Hey guys, guess what?

They're making another one.

No idea if it's a sequel or not, but it's made by the same people. The fact that it's gonna be on both 3DS and Vita is interesting. 999 used the DS' dual screens to it's advantage by incorporating it into the story. With it being on two systems, they won't be able to do anything unique like that again, but it also means that no matter what handheld I get I'll be able to play it so no complaints.

Also until then you could look for an English copy of Ever 17 since that was written by the same guy too.

Apparently it's not a sequel, but a spiritual successor. It involves the same escape-the-room kind of gameplay of 999 and even has a door with the number 9 in it.

Maybe, maybe not. Maybe 999 and this new game are part of the same universe. They definitely look alike.

Some of the characters look really cool. Either way, it'll likely be their personalities that will stand out anyway.
